About

This tool has been developed by Horizon Climate Group, 2024.

Emissions data for industrial facilities and GHG emitting equipment are reported annually by the U.S. EPA. This tool uses data published in 2023 for emissions produced in 2022. Based on work published by NREL, industrial unit-specific reported emissions and fuel capacity have been used to estimate fossil fuel use for each unit. A detailed methodology of this work is available in a previous technical report estimating the electrification potential of industrial activities in the state of Louisiana.
